About us
|
C. N. Spencer Ltd, is a family run business established by its founder, Charles Newman. 1870.
Our sawmill is situated in the rural village of Brigstock in Northamptonshire, close to Kettering and Corby, and easily accessible from the new A14 motorway link.
The majority of the timber purchased by the company is homegrown and is bought standing, then felled and hauled in on own transport.
We produce all types of agricultural, commercial and domestic fencing including post and rail, close boarded and picket fencing, from both fresh sawn oak and CCA treated softwood. We also stock peeled and machine turned treated softwood rails and stakes, together with stock fencing, barbed wire and fixings. |

|
Gates, hurdles and sheep troughs have been manufactured in our carpenters shop for over 100 years. Produced in oak and treated softwood, styles of gate include traditional 5-bar field gates for both agricultural and residential use, curved heel and close boarded entrance gates and garden gates. We are always happy to manufacture gates to customers specific designs.
With recent expansion, we are now producing a range of garden furniture to include rose arbours, seated arbours, picnic tables and planters.
The sawmill specialises in cutting difficult sections to order, in beech, ash, sycamore and especially beam oak.
Our sawshop provides a complete sharpening and regrinding service for industrial and domestic customers. |
